Make sure your interface is plugged into the USB port on the left side of your MacBook Pro.

Important info to pass along to Mbox 1 users with Macbooks.

I realize that the Macbooks aren't "officially supported" yet
but I'm throwing this one out there to you all anyway.

If you plan on using an Mbox 1/legacy with a Macbook you have to
connect the Mbox to the USB port closest to you from the front
or the one to the right,as you are looking at it from the
left hand side of the Macbook.

I found I was getting errors left and right, and I read that on
the Macbook Pro's you have to use the USB port on the left side.

So I swapped my ilok and Mbox's USB ports and everything is running fine
with the stock Blackbook and Digi's recomended OSX tweeks.
I'm now running 20 track sessions from my old PC effortlessly at at least
a 512 buffer and this thing is'nt even flinching

I dont know why your macbook wont work with a mouse. i have a 4 port Belkin USB adapter and a kensington optical mouse with usb plugin and it all works perfectly. i have the 13" macbook. Digi002, maxtor external HD, M-Audio BX8a's. nice inexpensive set up that works great.

I am using a MacBook Pro with 17" display 2 gigs of ram and 2.1 gig intel duo-core processor.
Reason works well as a standalone and as a plugin within protools. (OS X and Windows XP)

Sampletank II, Miroslav and Sonik Synth all work well under Windows XP as Protools plugins, they don't work at all under OSX.

Sampletank II works well as a standalone on Both Platforms

I'm currently trying to install ProTools for Intel on my MacMini w/ an Mbox2. The download process is not so user friendly to newbies. I've been having trouble installing ReasonAdapted and SampleTank 2 SE. Any word from Didgidesign if there will be any install cd's available in the near future? This process is a pain in the a**. Thanks

Well I had a lot of trouble loading the update to my 15" intel based MacBook Pro until i read the "read me" and followed the suggestions for the install preparation. Then in worked, BUT and this is a big one: Where are my plugins, I have tried to download them and they either won't show up in the menu (it says i have "none".

So I have gone to the trouble to find the plug-ins that are specifically supposed to work with my system, intel based and downloaded several of them from digidesigns website, but they will not install on my computer. These are all supposed to work with 7.1.1 , but they will not install.

What do I have to do to get a working system.

Also, of note. there is a lot of trash on this forum, repeated messages and unanswered messages. anybody out there?

thanks,
8upwithit

Just wondering. I have an Intel based MacBook Pro 17 in which I have installed ProTools LE 6.7 and then upgraed to 6.92. The program itself seems to open fine but will not recognize my external LaCie D2 Extreme 300 GB Firewire 8oo drive as an audio drive. Will the update to Protools LE 7.1.1 fix this?

TIA

Dave
