16 minimum with expansion would be my vote..

Well, I think I better wait, some Integrated DSP (Reverb, EQs...) in a new DIGI 004 with added channels .... that would not hurt anyone :)

You wount find anything if you search for 002 or 003 either. I think it must be a limitation in the DUC search engine.

Hmm....

Avid's old system to Native card exchange discount is ending on March 18....

Avid is an active player in Thunderbolt development....

004 seems like a great candidate for Tbolt...

Fingers crossed.

Might not be a 004. Could be something we never thought of. Remember Apple's new Thunder bolt? Incorporate that with some nice pre's, on board DSP cards, smaller chassis.......

Yeah. I'm looking forward to the thunderbolt box. Given my new Mac pro doesn't have it.

I guess it's only for people with brand new MacBooks.

It's nice and all , but look at how big that chassis is. I look at the iMac and go wow! Years ago, who would have thought about an all in one computer. We are already moving forward the with the USB mic, iPhone IK Multimedia Apps, the iPad Apps. Why not have Pro Tools installed in the unit itself? I'm not tech savvy, so before you start hooting and hollering. Could you? I mean, all you would need is to send graphic information right? or not?

Man where has the time gone.

Any who, yes the Multimedia is nice.

Oh yeah, I forgot about my 001. That was a perfect size I thought in my opinion.
