Default M-Audio HyperControl.... Is this the "new" C8?

So.... NAMM revealed some new controllers from M-Audio with a software called HyperControl.

This is an auto-mapping program for DAW control.... Pro Tools friendly.

Does anyone know if Digidesign gave M-Audio access to proprietary control protocol?

Will HyperControl devices be a lot better than HUI devices?

Will a Command 8 type device using HyperControl be something to anticipate?

Very curious....
