Default PT11 license transfer and ASC issues

Hey, guys!

As I'm not a heavy PT user, I decided to sell and transfer my PT10 & 11 license. I filled in the PDF form with my Avid and iLok data and the Avid/iLok data of the buyer, then I did as instructed in the PDF: purchased ASC code and tried to send the form using https://avid.secure.force.com/ASC/.

The problem is that when I enter my code i get the message: "Invalid ASC Code, please check and try again".

When I try to press "Retrieve ASC Details" below, I get this: "Error: Error occurred while loading a Visualforce page".

I have to tell you I'm quite lost. Getting to know that I need a PDF form to transfer my license, buying the ASC, registering it was all quite tricky and now it simply doesn't work.

Can anybody help me with that? Thanks in advance and keep doing beautiful things in your PT!

I am sending this to support but as it is the weekend I can’t say when Avid will get to helping you but atleast you are on the radar for sure with this escalation. S

I also must admit I do not really know, but some time ago I think I heard something like you need to be on active Support and Update Plan to get the transfer authorized.

If I am right, you need to find a reseller that can sell you a "reinstatement" code (not "renewal" which is cheaper but only works with active plan which you do not have). Bad thing is it costs a lot, but a good thing is you get a current license that authorizes current versions released within next 12 months, and it would also be easier to sell.

Let's hope Avid Support will contact you soon and clarify things.
