Hmmm, a couple of thoughts to consider
1-look near the top of this(and every) DUC page for the link named Help Us Help You and have a good read. Right now, nobody has enough info for detailed help or advice.
2-since your demo period might be nearly over, you don't need to give up just yet(of course, that's up to you). You can get Pro Tools Intro, which is free and actually might be perfect for where you are at right now.
3-assuming your PC is fully compatible(unknown at the moment), you already have an iLok account(PT Intro requires an account, but nothing more), so you can keep trying without spending any cash.
4-be aware that every time you install the driver for any hardware that handles sound, Windows will assume you want that to be the default playback device(so you need to reset that). Sometimes a Windows update will reset this, and/or will reset the USB Power Management that you already disabled.
5-Reaper and Cakewalk by Bandlab are both very capable programs, in case you decide to give up on Pro Tools(but I hope you get it working so you can at least give it a try).

Remember to open iLok manager and de-activate the demo license when it expires, Having an expired license on the iLok can screw up things.
