Yikes I have a 1.1 mac pro 2006 and it has a ATI Radeon X1900 XT video card (Apple Official upgrade from standard card) with dual-link DVI connectors, so you can run two 30" screens
Even though instructions say HD Core PCIe goes in slot 2 can I install it slot 3 or slot 4 Any danger? Amy finally any tips you can give me on installing these long cards with least amount of force Physically in the Mac they are: Slot 4 Slot 3---------------------------Proposed Slot for HD Core PCIe ATI Radeon Fan Slot 2 ATI Radeon X1900 Slot 1 thanks in advance david |

Re: can I install HD Core PCIe in Slot 3
Yes you can do this. Blackmagic Design Video Cards
I know you are not using a DeckLink card. The information is still applicable.
