48k clock on a 44.1 session, RATS!
Hi,
Obviously the pitch and speed of the Master is off. Someone posted a fix for this situation a while back. Can someone please direct me to it? Can I actually fix the session, or just the mix? I'd prefer to fix the session. Regards, Ty Ford |

Re: 48k clock on a 44.1 session, RATS!
I have the same problem... I use a DIGIMAX LT and it was set to 48k while the PT session is set for 44.1k....
Any solutions? Regards, Mark |

Re: 48k clock on a 44.1 session, RATS!
Found it!
Start a new session at 44.1. Go to File>Import>session data. Navigate back to the funky session and choose the session icon. In the import session window, choose COPY FROM SOURCE MEDIA. On SOURCE TRACKS at the bottom, choose each track you want to import and include aux and master tracks. Use the drop down window on each one to select NEW TRACK. Over on the right, click on the APPLY SRC box. Make the SOURCE SAMPLE RATE 48 kHz. I chose SLOWEST TWEEKHEAD. Your destinaton sample rate should already be 44.1 (If that's what you started thesession as.) Click OK. Wait while the system sample rate comverts the files. There is no indication it's doing anything. There are blocks on the tracks in the edit window. As the tracks are converted, the wave files appear and the greyed out names in the regions like turn darker. BOOM! You're Home Again! Thanks Digidesign. Regards, TyFord |

That doesn't sound right -- you should just need to import them into the correct sample rate session without any conversion.. and just change the sample rate in the files' headers -- without touching your data.

Yes - but you should have created a new 48kHz session -- then you wouldn't have to do any sample rate conversion/change your data.

Yeah, just as Rail said:
get SOUNDHACK and you only have to change the file header |

I tried soundhack on my G5 and it didn't work. I trashed it.
