Majority of Sony SCS sold to Magix
For those that haven't heard or seen the news a majority of Sony Creative Software product has been sold off to Magix Software GmbH.
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/...ducts-to-magix This includes the full Vegas, Movie Studio, Sound Forge and Acid lines. Hopefully this means the long-languishing Sony s/w will get the support it sorely needs. One can but hope that we'll see Acid for OSX and that Sound Forge Mac will get the help it needs to truly work in the OSX environment as well. SF Mac was/is a huge disappointment to those of us that cut our teeth on SF Windows. Also on the hope-for list for Windows users is that CD Architect will finally get a modern upgrade and be able to use something other than just dx plugins. |
