Initializing hard drive questions
I have a 60 gig OWC firewire drive that I run PT sessions on and it has some damaged files. It keeps crashing my system while I run other functions without it on just fine. I ran Disk Warrior and Norton but it doesn't really fix it right (at all). Soooo, I've backed up all my sessions to disc and I want to reinitialize the drive. I can't seem to find the proper method searching the DUC. Can anyone help with a suggestion or link. I have "drive setup" and "hard disk toolkit" or do I just use the "erase disk" on my menu? I can't remember how to do this properly. Thanks...

Re: Initializing hard drive questions
Boot from a system cd if you need to initialize the main system drive or.., go into applications\utilities\drive set-up, select the drive you want and then from the menu select initialize,If you are using 0s9 that is.
Simple as that.

Re: Initializing hard drive questions
Highlight your Fw drive on the desktop, and from the special menu, select erase disc.
Hope this is helpful. |
