Default Blackmagic Intensity Pro Question

Via the Blackmagic card, could my LCD tv be used as an additional/3rd computer monitor when needed? ..or is it a "Video out PCI-e" only option.

I'm sure this has been covered in the past, but I was unable to find it in a search.

Thanks in advance!

Blackmagic has removed that feature from driver version 7.3.2. I still run an older version without problems. You can find them here:

I'm curious why they would remove this? Seems like an excellent selling point.

I remember when I had mine (6 months ago) that I could only use it in conjunction with Pro Tools. Of course, I could ingest and playback certain video with it stand alone, but as a third monitor card, NO

I've had mine for almost two years now. Never saw the extended desktop feature. soundworx, are you sure about this?

Id like to get this working as well, how is it toggled? Is it any version earlier than 7.7.2?

I'm still on 7.2.1 with extended desktop available. Turn it on from the systemprefs, restart, and it's there. Blackmagic said it caused certain conflicts(?), but I never noticed any. HD2 on a Nehalem MacPro, PT 8.01 and Blackmagic HD Extreme 3 (drivers are the same thing).

Maybe there are crossed wires here - most of us are talking about the Intensity Pro card, yet the driver Soundworx linked to was for the HD Extreme....

Do you have the HD Extreme card Soundworx?

Sorry and yes, I have the HD Extreme, but the Intensity Pro also had that feature. Then I've no idea which driver version you need...
