12.8 installed now sessions are crashing

I just installed 12.8 and now not all but many sessions are crashing before they are completely loaded. Unfortunately, they are the tracks I need to mix. Any Ideas?

Reinforcement for why most of us would NEVER do an update in the middle of a project. Save a drive image that you can go back to?
Define crash. Any error messages? Pro Tools quits? Computer locks up?
Need system info. You gave none.

Did you update all plugins after you install PT12.8?
I had some problemes with 12.8 befor I updated all my plugins.
It's been stable after that.

Does it make a difference if you disable your antivirus? Sometimes "new" files will trigger an antivirus to scan, which can delay things long enough to cause a crash. If it turns out to be an antivirus issue, you should be able to exclude your Avid folders from the scanner.

Hold the SHIFT key while opening a session. If that allows it to open, its a pretty sure sign that some plugin is at fault.
