Default CPU crash when bouncing real-time

Hello!

Everytime I try to real-time bounce a session I immediately get a CPU error (AAE -9173). When I do an offline bounce or just work on a session, I never get any errors. It also occurs when I try to real-time bounce one single audio track, thus it is very unlikely to be a CPU-overload problem.

What could be the real problem? And how can I solve this?

Kind regards,

Jelle

Please read the 'Help Us To Help You' as you give no idea of what your system is, PT version, session size, plugins used, nothing.

Note to the mods:
As this is not a PT12 issue maybe this could be moved elsewheres depending on what PT version the op is using.

There are threads about this in the PT11 forum. Please search there.

Sorry, I will try to be clearer this time:

I use:

Intel i7 4790 CPU @ 3.6GHz
24GB ram Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR3 1866MHZ
Windows 8.1
PT 11.3.0
SSL MadiXtreme 64 (SSL Soundscape WDM/KS drivers)

I was able to localize the problem. It only occurs when bouncing a session located on my D: folder. ( That's a Seagate Barracuda Harddisk ST3000DM001, 3TB, 7200 rpm, Serial ATA 600). When I online bounce a session on my C: folder it works fine.

Is this enough info?

Is your d: drive somehow going to sleep? That is a separate drive from your system drive right? c: and d: are NOT folders - those are hard drive designations.

Spelling wasn't the issue - I didn't know what you meant by the word itself. I don't think that would cause a crash when in real time but not in offline bounce as you'd still be bouncing to the same drive I would think.
