I wanna get a mac, to run LE 8.05

I wanna get a used mac to run pro tools le 8.05, I know that older macs like g5s do not run past lE 8.01, what do I need to look for to run 8.05? Thanks!

I have an old computer that had windows XP and some version of 8. PT le
worked cpu sucked but it did go
My opinion is get the biggest baddest fastest cpu you can afford
getting an older dated computer gets you at bat with at least one strike
get ahead of the curve and let it catch up while your saving to rase the standard or get outdated perfomance and that doesnt sell studio time

An intel mac, ideally not the mini with an Intel Core Solo, but anything Core 2 Duo and up is a good place to start.

Im looking to get something used of Ebay. But i know certain Macs wont handle past protools le 8.01, im not sure which one exactly. So im trying to find the minimum Mac and then work up from there to see what I can get. Any Ideas? thanks again!

Stay with intel Macs. Craigslist will no doubt find you a better deal. I would lean toward a used Mac Pro quad or 8 core. They have plenty of connectivity, can hold up to 4 internal drives(for the best performance) and are all still supported by Apple. Tiger and Leopard/Snow Leopard are solid with the correct version of Pro Tools(follow the compatibility grids link at the top of this, and every DUC page).

I have a Core 2 duo Mac Mini that serves me well, though I only do smaller sessions. If you need it for major multi-tracking sessions, I'd go with the Mac Pro advice.
