Default Bug or Setting?? (Cursor related)

Apologies if this has been covered- couldnt find it with a search, and has been bugging me for a while.

Essentially, I want to brign my system back to to what it always did after I press stop on PT. I used to press stop and 2 things happened

1. Hihlighted areas would remain higlighted (very handy for editing). Now, by stopping the music the highlighted areas stop being highlighted (ie if you have somehting looping, you need to reselect the area)

2.My cursor would stay where it was once I pressed play (so with one click for stopping or pressign spacebar, my cursor would be where it was beforee I pressed play, which is agfain useful if you wanna finetune a specific area oif the song, Now the cursos is wherever the song stopped when I press stop).

Any idea if this is a setting that somehow got changed (probably through keyboard shortcut, as I didnt go into options), os a buig? It really slows me down, and while not as serious as other PT problems we all have faced, I would be obliged for any help. Its PT6.4cs9 if it matters..

MANY Thanks-
Snafu

Pres the "n" key. That toggles "Timeline Isertion Follows Playback" on and off.

You can also make this setting by going to Setup->Preferences selecting the Operation tab and then selecting or deselecting "Timeline Insertion/Play Start Marker Follows Playback" and clicking OK.
