Default A disappearing pointer and stuttering clock and meters!#!@

Hi y'all
I've posted about this before but am still working on a cure. here's the problems..
I'm trying to figure out why my mouse pointer freezes on the screen. I can still use the now invisible mouse to save and close the session and reboot to get it back.... it happened recently in Soundforge as well with an error window stating a problem in "DIGIPROX"...any info on this ? I've searched the site for answers to no avail.

...or how about this other problem..several of my sessions have started to stutter visually ..audio is not affected. My meters and clock freeze every three seconds ..then continue ...then freeze ..etc. any thoughts on this problem? It seems I'm rebooting about 4-5 times a session now and am getting pretty tired of it...so please helpppp!!!
