Default Pro Tools 11-.zip files empty on download

So I recently got Pro Tools 11 and followed all the download steps but once I download the installer and try to extract the files it tells me the folder is empty. I've tried the installer for different versions but every folder is empty. Anyone have an idea of what's going on?
Thanks

Are you downloading from your Avid account > My Products section?

Are the files you downloaded around the same size as listed in your account downloads?
  • Pro Tools 11.3 Installer (Win) (1.08 GB)
  • AIR Creative Collection 11.1 Installer for PT 11.1+ (Win) (2.59 GB)
Have you tried right-clicking on those links and doing "Save Link As..."?
And then saving to your desktop, rather than a previous download location.

Are the downloaded .ZIP files on a drive you can extract to, rather than a DVD for instance? Where on your system is the .ZIP file located?

Files are downloaded from my products and the sizes are exactly the same as the one you've posted. I will try the save as but is there a specific drive my files should be saved to? Before they were just in my downloads folder as I clicked the links and the folders were automatically sent there.

If the files you downloaded are the right size, then they are probably OK. Try right-clicking on the file already in your downloads folder and extract to the desktop. If you have a 1GB file, it doesn't seem like unzipped it would be entirely empty.

I'll try extracting again but I've downloaded it multiple times and the folder is still empty every time I try and extract. Could it possibly be a corrupt link?

If the linked file was corrupt at origin, no one would be able download successfully, so I don't think that is it.

If you do download again, delete the previous versions and clear your browser cache. Restart your computer, and do a "Save Link As..." download to a different location, your desktop or an external drive.

Okay thank you I will try that. Also, once the file is downloaded the file size drops from 1.08GB to about 500MB. Could that also be a source of the problem?

Yes, that means the download did not complete.
