Yikes G4 monitor card
I've got the Yikes G4-- is the Appian dual monitor card still required (because it's not a "real" G4), or will another (less expensive) monitor card be adequate for running two monitors?
thanks. [This message has been edited by uno1234 (edited August 20, 2000).] |

Re: Yikes G4 monitor card
Since the Yikes G4 is not equipped with an AGP slot, the Appian card is not compatible with your computer. In addition, computers with PCI graphics (B&W G3 and Yikes G4) do not seem to suffer from premature DAE -6042 errors when running a dual monitor configuration. Therefore, a 2nd PCI video card can be used.

Re: Yikes G4 monitor card
So what monitor cards are people using? Since I don't have an expansion chassis, I would want a card that has two VGA connectors on the back, and at least 32 MB of RAM. Any recommendations?
