Added 2nd HDX card; RX580 video card fan rubbing against it! Yikes!
Hi, folks, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and found a workaround. MacPro 5,1 tower, just added a second HDX card into PCIe slot 2, and slot 3 has another HDX card. (PCIe slot 4 has SSD drives in an OWC Accelsior SSD bay.) Now the fans in the RX580 rub against the HDX card.
Presently I’ve put plastic spacers in between the top of RX580 GPU and bottom of the HDX card, but it’s a tight jam and I don’t want to damage anything. Any suggestions? Is there a way to house a PCI card or video card outside of the computer’s case? Thanks for any advice, cheers to all. |
