I might seems absolutely mad to some folks, but I would consider buying into the HD arena if I could purchase the software alone, even for the above said price.

I would have all HD functionality, keep my current (and improve) workflow, and pave the way for accesible upgrades later down the road. All this while being able to select my hardware of choice. $2600.00 does not seems outlandish to me at this point.

We sold our HD 8x8x8 io and native pcie for equivalent of 3800 $ and kept our HD10 software on one of our studiorooms just to run Apollo Quad interface so Holy Grail For Sure :)

And Yes. I do really hope for all CPTK users Avid Will re-think the upgrade price to be equal to 10HD to 11HD of 599$..
