Default Sample rate/playback problems with Mbox3

Well I thought all my problems would be over replacing the Dell notebook with an ASUS after the most fustrating 4 weeks of my life but I've still got problems with the Mbox 3 itself. It seems to get confused with the difference between 44.1 & 48K sometimes. All my sessions are 48k and sometimes it plays them SLOW. Even through Windows Media Player or on YouTube, anything that is 48K will be slow.

Sometimes it takes a whole series of reboots and unplugging the Mbox until the problem fixes itself. It's driving me mad. I read of a few posts from last year that suggested that some of the early Mboxes were faulty, is that correct??

The control panel always seem to show the correct sample rate and host control is not disabled.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Cheers,
Joe

My apologies, I just reposted this in the Windows section as there doesn't seem to be an easy way to delete my thread here.
