Hello,
I'm trying to nudge some vocals around in pro tools and whenever I click on he nudge menu to change the parameters, I get a weird popup that says the following: Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/vb_cliff/AlturaPorts/DFW/MacBuild/../Views/UMenu.MacOS.cpp". line 922 And the only option is to push "ok" I've tried trashing all prefs, volumes, etc and still no luck.. I'm running 7.3.1cs2 on a Power PC Dual 2.0

It's a know issue. It only effects bars and beats. There's a thread somewhere about it. You'll have to make a new session and import tracks to "fix" it. But it will come back as soon as you select bars and beats in the nudge menu.

I am still getting that exact same error, ONLY when clicking on the Nudge menu, just as you reported. Mine is the exact error message "Assertion, etc......Line 922" as you mentioned. I only have this bug on one particular session. All others I have worked on recently are fine.
I tried trashing databases, volumes, preferences, and then creating a new Session from scratch, then Imported session data, Still the same error! Is there any known fix for this? Wade |

double click next to the drop down and enter e.g. 120 manually - now you are using a "fixed" value already "Known" by the drop menu and you can now use the drop menu without the error
It's one of those great BUGS that digi is dragging along each update - also in paid updates

Great tip! That is a perfect workaround for now, and indeed makes it functionable. Much appreciated!
Sure wish Digidesign would go ahead and fix this. Surely it's just a small thing to fix in a "cs" update and easily doable? Thanks again, Wade |
