Default Trouble upgrading to XP

Hello,

I have just tried to upgrade my Digi001/W98 system to XP (in order to use Waves Gold 5.0). The upgrade to both XP and PTLE 6.4 seemed to go well and PTLE 6.4 seems to work fine with my old (and new) recorded files. Windows Media player and system sounds are okay, too. BUT I can't get my other audio software (Diamond Cut 6 or TDK audio player/CD burner) to work. They both say they can't find the audio device.

I tried upgrading the drivers (ASIO and Wavedriver). Also if it's provides a clue, the 'volume' tabe of the XP Sound and Audio Devices says there isn't one, although the Digi001 is listed on the 'audio' part as the default device.

Any help?
