Default Midi auto punch missing notes

I've notice in every version of PT 12 that I've used, that often not all of the notes I play on the piano in a punch are present..and I'm certain that I'm playing the note within the range selected...It seems to most often be lower notes.

My workaround has been to click on the merge button in the transport and add the note after the punch.

Anyone else have this?
