Default Trouble upgrading from 7.0 to 7.4

I'm on Windows XP SP3 with an Mbox 2 and have been running 7.0 without a hitch for a long time now. Just got 7.4 yesterday. After removing 7.0 with drivers and all via the "add remove programs" utility in Windows I installed 7.4. No hitch during the install process but, when I try to launch I only get as far as an "hourglass" for a few seconds....then nothing.

Ended up removing 7.4 and going back to 7.0 until I have more free time to monkey with it. 7.0 is running fine at this time.

Any suggestions?
