Default Compatability question -my system and the 002

Trying to get an idea if my current system will be compatable with the 002 I want to purchase.I sent an e-mail with my spec's to Digidesign but did not hear back.(I'm sure they get thousands of these requests)
I also looked at all the compatability doc's I could find on the website.I found no direct referrence to my chipset....good or bad....although I did notice that one of the approved "turnkey" sytems from MusicXPC did use the same chipset.
My concerns are still the chipset and my sytem overall.

My system,

P4 3.00 Ghz
Manufacturer: A Open
Motherboard: AX4SG-UN Series
Chipset: Intel 865G + ICH5
Ram: 1 gig DDR 400
System Drive: 80 gig
Recording Drive: 200 gig
Video Card: Nvidea GeForce 5700

I want the 002 and will be using it for basic multitrack recording.

Thanks in advance to anyone that cares to give me some feedback

Add a compatible firewire card and you SHOULD be okay. If not, just replace the motherboard with one that is one the list as all your other hardware looks fine to me. Don't forget to perform all the tweaks in the install guide first.

Thanks Albee!

Already working on the appropraiate firewire card!
I actually heard back from Digi and the chipset looks fine to them but they did ask what my "bus chipset" is....
I'm not a real computer guy yet so now I have to figure out what a "bus chipset" is

Thanks again!!

well your specs are a little confusing. the 865G has intergrated gfx, and you have listed a gfx card. the 865P is fine, besides gfx they are the same chipset. just make sure the intergrated gfx is disabled in the BIOS and you will be fine.
