Default Scrambled?

Hello everyone! I just got the digi 001, and installed the pro tools 5.3 on my windows xp system (512 ram/1.8 gig pent 4). Everything seemed to go ok, except that the words in the 'solo' 'mute' i/o etc etc scramble on the screen. Is this because of a bad video card? does anyone know exactly what this is?

Thanks for the help!

try trashing your prefs, which are located;

c:\documents and settings\(your win profile name)\application data\digidesign\

not @ PT comp now, but i think that's it.

I would tend to think it's a setting in your display properties. Try changine some of the hardware accelleration and advanced properties and see if that helps. Also make sure you have the latest driver installed for your Graphics card. BTW which make and model card do you have?

thanks for the help guys! I figured it out-my resolution was too big. I made it smaller and violia. works like a charm! The little box with the fader level scrambles if i click on it to adjust it. but that goes away if i open the channel mixer and change the level. so it seems to be ok.thanks again!
