AES/EBU-ADAT Conversion quality differences. HD I/O versus 192 I/O

Hi all.
I’m reconfiguring my I/O setup and wonder, which interface will give my Focusrite ISA428 (MKI) with digi card best conversion?

As long as the interfaces have word clock set up correctly, there isn't any difference. Regardless of interface, if you are converting between two digital formats everything stays digital so there is no change in the sound.

To be clear, when using external converters that rely on 8channels of AES I/O thru DSUB, there is absolutely no difference between using the new Avid HD Digital VS the old Digidesign 192 Digital?

Technically they are both passing ones and zeros right?

The Avid HD digital is $2500 new
The Digidesign 192 digital is $250 used

Rightthe old due 192 work great but are unsupported and might break in the next Verizon of pt but for pt 12 you can't go wrong.
