Terminator Power from SCSI Bus
I have been using a 9600 with an Adaptec 2940UW SCSI Accelerator. I am taking the leap and changing over to a G-4 500mhz DP and the Digidesign approved ATTO SCSI card.
The 2940UW required the (6) Seagate ST118273W drives I have, get "Terminator Power from SCSI Bus," a jumper setting on the J2 jumper pins of the drives. Do you know if the ATTO card requires the same configuration on the drives? Thanks, ------------------ Dan Matthews InSight Sound Recording

Re: Terminator Power from SCSI Bus
Most SCSI hosts supply termination power to the buss. The newer ones (including the ATTO) allow you to turn it on or off in software. We've found its best to let the host supply term power TO the buss and set the drives to receive term power FROM the buss. So you should be safe with your current settings. Good luck with the ATTO!
