Need Help To Connect AVID Mojo (SD) to Protools LE

Hello AVID community,

I'm working on placing music behind videos and I have the AVID Mojo SD. My clients sends me a video file and I import into the protools to finish the audio. Each time I launch protools it scans everything and a message appears "DAE 728 error was encountered. When I disconnect the firewire cable from the AVID Mojo which is connected in the rear of my Mac G5 dual 2.3 Ghz power PC G5 (build 9L31a) with 2.5 GB or RAM, protools launches with no problem. So when I finally see the video within protools, I choose the option "video out firewire it says "protools could not find a video device connected via firewire. Check the connection to the video device and make sire it is powered on (of course I've disconnect the firewire cable).

Do you have the most recent updates for Pro Tools on your machine, what OS version and Pro Tools version are you using?

I've had this before on my 002R and when i contacted Avid they said they had only experienced it with mojo so i'm guessing they addressed it at some point.

You could also try using the front FW port on the G5, typically one FW is slow and a PIA, it depends on the mac which one it is. For me it's the front, for others it's the rear.

MAC OS X, version 10.5.8
processor: dual 2.3 Ghz powerPC G5
Memory 2.5 GB

I guess I need to get protools ver 7.1 as my current version is 8.0 and I'm not sure where is my 7 version
