Can’t get click to follow grid
Somehow, the click and the grid got screwball and I can’t get the new click to follow the grid. Can’t get it to start at the beginning of the song. Nothing I do will make the click follow the grid. Click is on its own thing and won’t change no matter what change I make on the screen. Also what is standard support for my studio subscription?

Re: Can’t get click to follow grid
Have you set a tempo for the session? Did you try using the edits to adjust the Grid Values in the box next to the main Transport window.

Re: Can’t get click to follow grid
Yes, the tempo was set before any recording took place. I used it to record 9 drum tracks, a bass track, a scratch vocal, and four guitar tracks. Performed flawlessly through several takes. Now the click won’t conform to the tempo. Can’t figure out why it went out of sync. The click II plug in on the click track is set to the session tempo in bars and beats and I’m in grid mode. I tried deleting the click track and setting up a new one. Same results. Not sure why it gives me a new aux track when I set up the new click. There must be some way to get the click lined up again.
Will get out a screenshot tomorrow. Thanks |

Re: Can’t get click to follow grid
you probably toggled the conductor.

Re: Can’t get click to follow grid
Not sure what happens when you toggle the conductor, but I can’t recall doing that. I can’t make any changes in the Click II plug in window. Now the transport changes to manual tempo and a different tempo without me making any changes.
I have to get the click back correct or I’ll have to abandon all the tracks I’ve recorded. In ten years, this has never happened. |

These point to files on your local computer, not internet.

Re: Can’t get click to follow grid
The "conductor" is a small icon in both the floating transport (lower right) and also the Edit Window top bar. It's a little guy holding a baton. If he's blue, it's enabled - and your session will follow your tempo(s) and meter changes in the tempo ruler. If he's grey, then Pro Tools will be in manual tempo mode - and Pro Tools will follow the now green freely-adjustable tempo.
I can't even remember the last time I personally found a need to disable it. P.S. If you've already made changes where this still doesn't solve it, then I hope you've got auto-save or earlier revisions saved that you can revert to in order to examine the correct tempo and start time - so that you can set things straight again in your latest master session.
