Default Computer speed

I just recantly got an MBox which has been endless fun except for the fact that I can never get the H/W buffer size big enough cause it will still stop occasionaly even at the max and unless I change it once in a while I get this horrible loud overdriving fuzz noise that will even show up while i'm recording. I suspect the problem is that my computer isn't fast enough (it's below the reccomended speed) can anyone confirm this before I go and get a faster one though? Thanks.

If it doesn't meet these requirements then that is most likely your problem.

Upgrade your whole computer if you don't want those errors! Just look at the first page of the "Best Desktops for PTLE" thread. You won't regret getting an Athlon 64. Even my PIV 2.4Ghz gives me buffer problems. I can't stand having the buffer constantly set to 1024 because I can "feel" the difference when recording MIDI with Reason in Rewire mode. Even in 1024 I get those 9129 errors more often than I care to admit.

Good Luck,

Zuma
