It's your first post, so I'll be nice. This topic has been covered a billion times already - mid november is the projected date, for more info you can always look on the Compatability pages.

The all-important question that rarely has gotten answered is the definition of "compatibility". In other words, does it work, but not well, not work at all, or what? The answer is: Pro Tools doesn't work at all on a G5. I have heard claims that using the CoreAudio driver, the hardware devices will work with other software, but I have no other software, so I can't say one way or the other.

Actually, Pro Tools|HD works great on a G5. I've been running it for the past 2 weeks on my G5 Dual 2GHz. See the following thread:
G5 2GHz with HD|3 -The first impression

Here is the G5 compatibility info:
Apple Power Mac G5 Qualification for Pro Tools Systems

G5 compatibility for Pro Tools LE is expected in mid-November.

The special is for anyone who bought a computer or bought Jaguar after the Panther announcement date.

The coupons are useless.
