Pro Tools won't launch after install
I purchased Pro Tools 9 and installed all software, ilok that came with it. When I go to open up PT, it starts to load up plug-ins and then comes to the BF-3A, Classic Compressor, Broadband Noise and Reduction, and Cosmonaut Voice. None of these are authorized for some reason. When I quit them to continue install, it loads a little further, comes to digirewire and then "quits unexpectedly". I have tried everything and I'm getting nowhere. I'm going to include the mumbo jumbo error message and maybe someone can help me.
Here is what I'm running PT on. Model: MacPro1,1, BootROM MP11.005C.B08, 4 processors, Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 2.66 GHz, 5 GB, SMC 1.7f10 Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT, PCIe, 256 MB Memory Module: global_name AirPort: spairport_wireless_card_type_airport_extreme (0x14E4, 0x8E), Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (5.10.131.36.1) Bluetooth: Version 2.3.8f7, 2 service, 19 devices, 1 incoming serial ports Network Service: AirPort, AirPort, en2 PCI Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT, Display, Slot-1 Serial ATA Device: WDC WD2500JS-41SGB0, 232.89 GB Parallel ATA Device: SONY DVD RW DW-D150A, 7.01 GB USB Device: USB2.0 Hub, 0x05e3 (Genesys Logic, Inc.), 0x0608, 0xfd400000 USB Device: External USB HDD, 0x0930 (Toshiba Corporation), 0xa002, 0xfd420000 USB Device: USB2.0 Hub, 0x05e3 (Genesys Logic, Inc.), 0x0608, 0xfd410000 USB Device: USB Audio CODEC, 0x08bb (Texas Instruments Japan), 0x2904, 0xfd411000 USB Device: Bluetooth USB Host Controller, 0x05ac (Apple Inc.), 0x8206, 0x5d200000 USB Device: iLok, 0x088e, 0x5036, 0x1d200000 FireWire Device: built-in_hub, Up to 800 Mb/sec Here is what I keep getting as I load up PT for the 1st time. Re: Pro Tools won't launch after install

First issue with plugins!! you must have installed the BF classic compressors and cosmonaut voice etc, but you must have the ilok auth for these to run? so unless you own the ilok auths for these plugins then remove them from the plugs folder. or what should happen is when booting PT it should ask if you want to move them to the unused folder? Second issue with rewire!!! sounds like you have an out of date rewire app installed. try going to the propeller heads site and downloading the latest version of rewire. if this doesn't work then try removing the rewire plugin from the plugs folder... system drive/library/app support/digidesign/plugins You don't mention if you had a previous version of pro tools installed? or if this is a complete fresh install. The true solution is to download and install the latest versions for any ReWire capable applications (Live, Melodyne, Reason, etc). |
