Default snow leopard or lion for PT 10.3.7

I have using PT 10.3.7 on snow leopard since it came out and it is now reasonably stable on my 2ghz macbook core2 duo with only occasional crashes.

I do have to trash prefs after a month or so as they seem to get corrupted after a while.

I am not going to upgrade to 11 while my macbook is alive as that would involve buying a new mac.

Is there any increase in performance and stability to be gained by using Lion OS?

I think the question is: Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion.

At least how I see it, Lion is just as sluggish compared to Mountain Lion, as Leopard was compared to Snow Leopard.

One important thing to think about is your plugins. Are they equally well supported in every OS you compare?

I'm loving Mountain Lion (and hope that Avid soon releases Mavericks compatibility releases)

I think 10.6.8 is the gold standard for stability

10.7.x all that one did for me was allow me to resize a finder window from any side (which was cool don't get me wrong)

10.8.4 was a nice jump in performance verses 10.8.2 (and below)

Yeah but with a core2 duo there is more than a few things to check before upgrading

Thanks for the replies. My computer will not support mountain lion as it is stuck with a 32bit bootloader. I will get a new mac someday but for now I might as well stick with snow leopard.
