Default RME TCO (Time code option) With PT9?

I was considering buying the RME TCO option for my RayDat system before PT9 was announced (was using Cubase) - I was wondering if PT9 would be able to use this card?? I can't see any info on it...

Cheers

Yep, I'm considering getting the RayDat card for my system and I'm interersted in the TCO option too. From what I've learned so far, the TCO card does internal bi-directional conversion between LTC and MTC, so PT 9 should be able to chase and output LTC even without the Sync HD. The WC I/O should work normally and as for the video input, the card should be extract the video clock and generate the Word Clock frequency on its basis, so it should provide frame-accurate video sync on hardware level. Not sure, but I think I've read somewhere that the card can extract even the VITC from the video signal.

Sounds good, now we need somebody to test it...

I guess the question is whether this timecode option shows up as a MIDI port in Pro Tools. That's the only way Pro Tools could send it MTC.

I've read the manual yesterday and it says that if the TCO is present, two additional virtual MIDI ports are automatically created in the CoreAudio Manager, so it should be visible to all applications. MIDI I/O 1 and 2 are physical, MIDI I/O 3 is virtual for the TCO. This should be OK. IMO.

I didn't mean it this way... I'd be more than happy to take one for the team, but I'm awaiting quite a large amount of money from the VAT return and can't buy it till the money arrives on my account (matter of weeks).
