Digi CoreAudio says "Not connected (HW not found)" + Kontakt 4.0.5 problem
First of all, pt le8.0.3 works fine, however i just realised that whenever i open the digidesign coreaudio manager, it always says "unsupported device", "not connected etc etc". I'm just wondering why this is? My imac plays songs from my itunes through my mbox 2 fine, as i set this up in the Audio MIDI setup.
Also, i'm wondering if it has anything to do with Kontakt 4 not opening as a standalone? On my macbook, which doesn't have PT installed, it works fine. On my imac, with PT installed, it wont open as a standalone. It'll work fine as a plugin, however not standalone. It just crashes upon opening. I've heard that it could be to do with the coreaudio as when it first opened on my macbook i was greeted with the audio drivers box, but on my imac, like i say, just lots of crashes. Any ideas? I really want kontakt to work as a standalone for gigs etc. I'm running an iMac 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, Snow Leopard 10.6.2 Thanks |

Re: Digi CoreAudio says "Not connected (HW not found)" + Kontakt 4.0.5 problem
kontakt works fine within logic though on both computers. So this cant be the issue. I just updated firmware to 1.38 however in the digi coreaudio manager it still says "not connected (HW not found) and that the hardware is an "unsupported device" which i can't figure out. I don't understand how in the system preferences-> mbox 2 - it says the mbox is connected, however coreaudio says something different.
I know this has something to do with why kontakt wont open as it can't find the coreaudio drivers i'm guessing, but i have no idea how to fix it. |

Re: Digi CoreAudio says "Not connected (HW not found)" + Kontakt 4.0.5 problem
Sorted this. Dragged the digidesigncoreaudio.plugin from mac HD->library->application support->audio->plugins->HAL to my desktop, trashed the kontakt 4 preference from mac HD->library->preferences, restarted, put the digidesigncoreaudio.plugin back and hey presto

Re: Digi CoreAudio says "Not connected (HW not found)" + Kontakt 4.0.5 problem
Hi, Hope I'm posting to the right place. Recently instaleed digidesign core audio version 8.0.3. Been working great so far with Logic. However, I'm having no luck with having at as my main source with my audio midi set up. It recognizes that it is there. However it does not allow me to use my device for input, output or "play alerts and sound fx through this device" Not sure why, but my old m-audio had no problem with this. Could someone please help me trouble shoot. It would save me some time instead of swapping around wires to accommodate everytime I wanna use iTunes through my monitors....
Thanks. |
