AudioSuite Plugin Multichannel preview HELP!

First I'll apologize if I sound like a noobie, but that's because I am.

So i recently got mbox2 (stereo) with PT8 LE.

I imported a full 5.1ch track and split it into 6 mono tracks, when I do normal playback preview it plays all 6 tracks simultaneously since I know that preview is thru the mixer and works fine.

Now, when I open AudioSuite plugin and do preview, it can only preview the first 2 track, or in this case, the first 2 ch, is this a limitation of my mbox2 being stereo only and if I have another device capable of multi-ch output it can preview more tracks?

I just need to know if my understanding is correct or is stereo preview the max i can do? Since I am processing effects to individual channel, being able to preview all 5.1ch at same in audiosuite preview is my goal.

The MBox 2 is stereo. How are you hooking it up that you expect 5.1 output?

You need the proper outputs, meaning a Mbox 2 Pro or 002/003. You also need the Complete Production Toolkit.

getz76, thanks, thats what I'm trying to confirm, by getting a mbox2 pro or 002/003 i'll be able to preview all 6 tracks correct in audiosuite preview?
