002r/HD session
My friend wants to do odubs next week and here's the deal.
His sessions were recorded on a HD system, @96k, os 6.x., max. track count 20. He is going to borrow a 002r w/laptop for odubs. 1. Can the 002r open the HD files directly or does he have to go back and open the sessions in HD then save them as 002 sessions? 2. What version of PT needs to be on the laptop to run the 002r? PTHD software can't run the 002r, correct? I'm still working on my 001 and we need to stay @96 that's why he's borrowing the 002. |

Re: 002r/HD session
I'm assuming you meant PT 6.x, not OS 6.x since that doesn't exist.
You'll need PTLE 6.x installed on the laptop (PTHD only runs on HD hardware), then you'll be able to open the HD sessions directly - it'll just throw a prompt at you letting you know you've switched hardware & playback engines when you first open it. You'll also need an external firewire drive to run the sessions from, an internal laptop drive won't be able to run 20 tracks of 96k audio. |

Re: 002r/HD session
Yep,
PT 6.x is what I meant to say. Everything is on ext. FW drives. Thanks! |
