Default 9.0.2 to 9.0.1 instructions?

Does anyone have downgrade instructions to go back to 9.0.1?

For mac?

Gonna wait until all the bugs are fixed.

I hope you don't mind waiting for eternity, then.

Just uninstall Pro Tools, then reinstall up to 9.0.1.

To be fair... 9.0.2 doesn't have anything that 9.0.1 doesn't other than the "missing" grid lines. Is something about 9.0.2 disappointing you?

Eternity is fine... Yeah, the work flow on the grid lines is an irritation - not a show stopper, but certainly an irritation.

But I'm concerned about mumblings of an issue with "auto save". I actually rely on that feature.... And mainly I'm concerned about the other bug of the audio pop during the quick punch.

I'm visualizing the artist getting ready to do a punch - getting mind set into "game on" for a take, then "pop"... and them asking "what the "F" was that?" And me saying, "oh never mind that... it's nothing."

Those are my concerns... The only thing in 9.0.1 that didn't work was the LLM on older <pt9 sessions. But LLM does work on =>Pt9 sessions.

If I do a complete install then reinstall 9.0 and 9.1 do I have to reinstall the drivers (003) and the midi/io fix/patch?

You don't have to install 9.0. They replaced the 9.0 installers in our Avid acounts with 9.0.1 full installers. So unless you already have the installers on the drive or don't have the time ability to download, then you can just uninstall and reinstall 9.0.1.

Both the auto-save and quickpunch bugs were logged as issues in 9.0.0 and 9.0.1.

As I said, 9.0.2 doesn't bring any new bugs to the table other than the grid lines issue, which DTS has already confirmed and discussed.

The Grid lines and Quik punch pops are the only minor irritations for me. The AutoSave should be fixed, but as long as we know about it and don't depend on saving while playing we are okay. All-in-all PT9.0.2 is IMHO, worth keeping.

What exactly is the autosave bug? I'm seeing that autosaves are happening... and I'm not getting pops during quick punches.

Autosave bug seems to be windows only.

Dan, if I uninstall the 9.0.2 and go back to .1, do I have to reinstall the 003 drivers and midi/io patch?
