problem with zooming in on tracks

Software:
OSX (10.4.6)
Pro Tools 7.1cs10

Session:
96Khz
24bit
Aiff

Issue: I cant zoom in to the sine wave on the tracks. the wave block form is fine and i can zoom in but i am unable to see the actual sine wave. is any body able to tell me the problem or give me a work around. The session works fine in 44.1 but we need to run in 96.

Things I've tried:
Saving the session as Wav files istead of AIFF's
Regenerated Wave Forms

You can't zoom all the way down to sample level?

I think you might have a very long session, correct? If I remember correctly this issue has to do with automation breakpoints way beyond the end of the song?

What happens when you zoom in? does it just stop zooming any further before you can actually see the wave as a line instead of a block? does the waveform graphic dissapear completely?

Sounds like the session length problem, as mentioned before. Go to your preferences and under display change your Edit Window Default Length to 00:00:00:00
