Dual Monitor Support Video Cards
I'm currently running a G4,1.2GHz, 1 GB RAM, and 10.2.8 (going to Panther or Tiger depending on the 001 compatibility) and I'm looking into a video card that will support dual monitors. Doesn't have to be the fanciest one on the market, but I would like it to be as effeceient as possible. Any suggestions?

Re: Dual Monitor Support Video Cards
I bought a modified ATI 9600 Pro from OWC for my Quicksilver because I needed dual monitors. It worked fine and was about $120. The only caveat is that its ADC connector is unpowered, so it won't power any of the original ADC Apple displays. But if your monitors are VGA/DVI you won't have any problem (you'll just need an ADC/DVI to VGA adapter).
The 001 will not be compatible with Tiger, so stick with Panther. |
