MacOS specific: PT Menu Bar Doesn't Show Up

Don't know if it's just my system, or this is a general Protools issue on MacOS
(Running 2023.12, but it's been there in all the 2023 versions). After
Protools starts and is the front/active application the menu doesn't show up in the menu bar (top).
I have to activate another window (tab or click) and then back to PT and then it shows up.

It's not a big deal .. just annoying. Anybody else experience this?

I don't see it here. What is your system setup and more importantly how have you updated/upgraded it over time? This sounds like a random error which may occur when you run updates over updates over the years without clean install in between.

I'm running a iMac Pro (Intel Version). I haven't gone to Sonoma (yet). But,
I keep it up-to-date with releases from Apple and keep my PT current.

I might try the auto-show settings ...

Well, it appears that it's just a problem for me .. so thanks for confirming that.

yes, was happening a lot, seems to happen less to me now. I'll play later and see if I can still get it to happen.

Same here but mine sometimes shows up on my second monitor to my left and then I play the click around game to get it back to my main monitor. Dont really remember when it started. just a bit of an inconvenience, but seems your not the only one.

How many monitors do you have?

If you're expecting the menu bar in the top left monitor, but your second monitor is the active monitor, the menu bar will default to the active monitor

Active is described as to which monitor your mouse was last active on. Meaning if I was working in monitor b (right) and then I launch PT, the menu bar will appear in the top right, not the left.

Don't know if any of this makes sense, but that is the experience I have.

The problem seems independent of anything you are describing here.

At least for me, the way to see this behavior most easily is to disable/uncheck the Quick Start Dialog panel. Then when Pro Tools starts you will hopefully see the splash screen, but if you click elsewhere or another window raises or grabs focus when Pro Tools is starting up (and Pro Tools is not opening a session) then sometimes the Pro Tools UI appears but the menu does not. Which is just broken. If you leave the Quick Start Dialog enabled it does raise/grab focus and seems to drags the menu bar along with itself.. at least for me I'm curious if other folks see the bad behavior even with the Quick Start dialog enabled.

I do get this but so rarely I really have not tried to diagnose when it seems to occur . Does seem (If I remember correctly) it is more with closing and opening a session multiple times rather than on initial start up But I could be mistaken But I do know it happened occasionally with previous PT versions
