Default Aux to Audio track via bus not working

My ultimate goal is to record audio from MIDI. I've recorded the MIDI successfully (two channels).

I've got the analog signal from the MIDI device (a Korg N364 keyboard) connected to channel 1 on the front of my MBOX 3.

In Pro Tools 9, I've got an Aux Input channel with "Mix FL / Mix FR.L" as its input, and I can see the green bar going up and down in time with the MIDI track, so that seems to be working -- the signal is going out to the MIDI device and coming back as analog audio.

I want to route that audio from the Aux track to an audio track. I set the Aux output to bus 10 and the audio track input to bus 10, but I'm not seeing anything on the audio track.

Any ideas why this might be? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

A screen shot of my setup, in case that might help:

Notes from both "MIDI bass 2" and "MIDI bass 3" are showing up on the Aux, and I want to route that to the "2midibass" track just above the Aux track.

Thank you!

Skip the aux, and route the audio from the Korg directly to the audio track with inputs MxFL/MxFLR, and record-enable it. Should work, no?

And make it a STEREO audio track(since you started with a stereo signal)

Thanks for the suggestions!

For some reason, the signal is showing up on the Aux but not the audio track, even when set to the same input. I've also tried using the rear inputs on the MBox, with the same result. And I tried creating a new stereo audio track; it is also not getting the signal.

Very mysterious to me!

I found an answer here that solved the problem:

http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=285233

It has to do with "Input-Only monitoring? (look for the green "light" by the transport in the EDIT window, or hit Alt-K to toggle and test)."

When the green light is on, the audio tracks get a signal. When it's off, they don't.

Bingo!! Exactly what I was coming back to suggest Alt-K toggles that feature on/off.

Track input monitoring is a feature of HD. In your edit window screen shot, it appears your "I" button is greyed out. Are you using regular Pro Tools or Pro Tools HD?

You should also be able to "hear" your tracks with the red "record" button (on the individual tracks) enabled, even if you do not have the "I" button.

Also, you have several mute buttons on, not sure if that is intentional or not.
