Automation Lock Tracks
Hey all
Normally all tracks are set in Touch/ Latch when mixing and if something else is needed then I change automation mode on an individual track basis But then, I'd alt-click on the automation type on a track to go back to Touch/ Latch. But some tracks should not be automated at all, e.g. final mix tracks, stems, dummy meter tracks, etc. AFAIK there's no option to "automate lock" a track. How do you guys deal with this? |

Re: Automation Lock Tracks
If you click on the little fader in the output of each channel it brings up a fader panel and there is a 'safe' button in there, but I never bother, I just don't touch tracks that I don't want to automate.

Re: Automation Lock Tracks
You can also disable automation tracks by flipping to what automation view (like volume) and then command+left click where it says Volume. It'll grey out and disable. (Same for Mute, etc). And you can do that to multiple tracks at the same time with the standard modifiers
