Default Analog Channel

Well,
I finally scraped enough together to get McDSP AC!
But, I installed it, authorized it and launched PTLE and it DOESN'T show up in my plugins list!!!
What could be wrong?
Where is my precious new Plug In? (read: $350 and it's not working... )

Help guys!

Where do I start????

Make sure you choose to install the RTAS-version of the plugin. Make sure the location is correct. should be c:\program files\common files\digidesign\dae\plugins

Some programs still default to another folder wich is now not used anymore. You could also have a look in that folder and see if the plugin is there.

Whatever the problem is, you'll get it figured out, and it'll be well worth the wait. I LOVE Analog Channel. It's one of 4 McDSP plugs I have, and well worth the dough.

Hang in there. You'll get it and you'll love it! What version of PT are you using? Did you contact MCDSP yet?

Greg,

not sure what the problem could be. Give us a call at 650 318 0005, ask for Jake or Aaron. Aaron did all the XP porting and the installers. He has done a super job, and should be able to steer you clear of whatever problem you are encountering. Jake handles all day to day tech supprt otherwise, and has pretty much seen it all. We're glad you have Analog Channel, now we'd just like to be sure you get it working for you.

Mr. McDowell (and everyone else!),
I can't believe you took the time to respond to a post of mine on the Digi Board!
Aaron did indeed help me with my problem which was as follows:

McDSP tested their plugs with an Athlon 64 chip. I have an Athlon XP 2800....
Well, the latest version of AC - 2.5 - wasn't showing up in my plugin list.

Aaron e-mailed me the previous version - 2.4 - (which is the version of the demo that I used months ago....)

AND IT WORKED !

Since then, I have returned to the compatability page at McDSP and the link to the AC 2.4 version has been reactivated for others who might share my problem in the future.

So the founder/president of the company engaged in dialogue with me AND the Windows guy made a change to the website to accomodate possible future problems. This company is UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Mr. McDowell, you are well on your way to selling me the entire McDSP LE product line, and your company's help is 2nd to none.

Thank you, and to everyone else....I hope you guys can bear with my questions about AC1 & 2 in the next several weeks.

Thanks again,

GregJ
