Default I/O phase problems solved!

We have posted a new DAE & DigiSystem INIT (DSI) that fix all known phase issues with Pro Tools 5.0 on the Digi 001 hardware. Please go to the following location for details, and to download the software:

http://www.digidesign.com/serv/readm...cs4readme.html

Thanks for your patience!

Hi Jeff.

Thank you for the information. Yesterday I downloaded the new DAE and INIT and noticed something odd:

I'm doing a session at the moment which is pretty CPU demanding. It works without problems, but if I insert Maxim on my masterfader, the "your running out of CPU..." alert comes on. So I'm doing it without and every thing works ok, although the system is a little "heavy" 'cause I'm almost out of CPU. The thing is that after I installed the new DAE and INIT I couldn't play back the session because the CPU alert came on every time I hit play. Seems like the new DAE and INIT uses more CPU power????

Can you confirm this?

The system is on a beige g3 266Mhz, but I haven't experienced any other problems.

Thanks.

E.

Didn't this bug fix come out last month? I'm confused. Did not last months fix solve this problem?

So, should I use this fix or stay with last months fix?

Thanks,

Gremz

Gremz:
5.0cs3 fixed everything else it was supposed to, but ended up making the S/PDIF Input 2 (R) and S/PDIF Output 1 (L) delay slightly worse by 1 sample.

Please use the new one, 5.0cs4.

electrique:
Sorry, I'll have to leave that one to tech support, not my area of expertise. They might be aware of something that I'm not, but I haven't heard anything at all to that effect; that this DAE/DSI is more CPU intensive.

Just thought of something. Did you check your memory setting on the new DAE after you installed it, deleted your preferences and rebooted?
