Before I start - a quick question

Is it possible within this framework to add functionality to PT like “when a window with this in the title is in front, send a CC/Program Change to this port”? Or maybe if I hit a hot key it could read the title of the window and then send the message?

Hi melodydetective, unfortunately, the Scripting SDK does not provide any mechanism to get the state of PT windows to know which one is active or focused and this is not something planned to be added in foreseeable future.

If you want to be able to access the state of application windows, this information is available through the accessibility APIs in macOS and Windows. Definitely check out scripting solutions in the OSs or some tool like Keyboard Maestro that makes these events easier to work with.
