pro tools not installing
I tried (it was useless, I know) to install PT7 before I installed SP2 for Windows XP - I formatted and did a clean install of SP2, the computer works fine, but I still get the same problem when I try to install PT7.
It gets about 2/3 of the way through the installation, then just doesnt go any further - It hung there for hours tonight (I actually left it alone for a bit since it said it may take up to several minutes, etc). No such luck. Might I just have a bad copy of ProTools? What can I do about this? My PC meets all of the tech requirements, and I cant figure it out whatsoever. |

Re: pro tools not installing
hiya,
I've had some issues with this as well. I started pulling my installers onto a network share(to the hard drive) ... that seems to have helped with the cd choking ....might be something to look into. just copy the contents of the protools installer folder to your local drive and see if that helps. Respects, |
