Gain controll for Digi002

My situation is that when I use the phantom power on mic inputs 2 3 4 of my digi 002 rack with a condenser microphone that requires phantom power it always overloads, I have tried several different condenser mics. I can even have the gain down all the way which I would think would not give me any input but instead overloads my track. Line 1 input is the only channel that works correctly and gives me controll of the gain. My question, is there an internal setting to controll the gain of channels 2 thru 4 so I don't overload? The mic inputs work fine with a dynamic mic as a sm-57. Thanks.

That sounds odd to me. If input 1 works fine, I would send the unit in for repair under warrantee. If you're out of warrantee, try a 20db inline pad available at most serious proaudio dealers. (if that fixes the trouble, you can always buy more if you need them(I still think you may have a problem 002). Now if all 4 channels acted the same, I would say to go buy the pad and be done with it.
