Default Errors after updating to 8.0.4

Hello,

I have Pro Tools 8, and I recently updated to 8.0.1, and then updated again to 8.0.4 and added the cs2 update. For all these updates, I'm getting a number of different errors that I never got with PT8, such as:

"The operating system held off interrupts for too long. If this occurs frequently, try increasing the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine panel. (-6093)"

"A firewire bus reset was detected. Please check firewire cables and power to firewire devices." (-8090)

All these occur after briefly playing or recording through one stereo track (1 minute or less, usually around 15-20 seconds of use), and before updating, I could run many tracks without any errors, and now it can't even record one without getting interrupts and errors that stop the recording.

I use a Mac Pro, with 2 2.33 Ghz processors, 4 GB of RAM, current version 8.0.4cs2, with a Glyph external harddrive and 003 Console. I don't know how many FireWire ports/devices there are, as I am a novice Pro Tools user.

Help would be appreciated, as the system is virtually unusable right now.

Thanks!

~ZJ

When running 8.0.4, you need OS Snow Leopard. What version of the OS are you running?
